My good friends are opening a garden center in Billings, MT and I get to be part of the creative brainstorming. Inspired by my love of flowers, creating art & collaborating, I landed on an ambitious project that I’m hoping comes to fruition in their garden space this spring …

Recently, a friend recommend that I watch “THE BIG FLOWER FIGHT” on Netflix. On the show, teams work on a variety of gigantic plant & floral sculptures. I love watching the creative process and am inspired to tackle projects, so I thought … why don’t I try to make a living sculpture?

I’m so grateful to have another dear friend who has a machine shop and is a natural teacher. It’s awesome to learn how things work and de-mystify the process. I bribed my buddy lunch and next thing you know, we are going to Schnizer Steel Yard and I busted out a little wire prototype. I spent a full Saturday bending and welding and learning. I have learned to just try it – it will either turn out great or be a good story.

We really have nothing to loose and so much joy to gain.
